IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) was launched as a new Student Branch Chapter of IEEE SCT SB on 1st March, 2019. Prof.Vassilios G Agelidis from University of Denmark made the inaugural ceremony auspicious with his Distinguished Lecture Program(DLP). Abish Vijayan was the founding chairman and Dr Bobby Philip became the faculty advisor in charge.IEEE IAS aims at becoming a world leader in the advancement of science and technology linking theory and practice in the application of electrical and electronic systems for the benefit of humanity.IEEE Industry Applications Society enables the advancement of theory and practice in the design, development, manufacturing and application of safe, sustainable, reliable, smart electrical systems, equipment and services.
