RAS Chapter, IEEE KERALA SECTION in association with RAS Chapter, IEEE SCT SB conducted Workshop on Robot Operating System (ROS), a 10 hour workshop from 14th May, 2020 - 22nd May, 2020. The session was conducted by Er. Athirakrishnan R, System Engineer of Robotics Team, Research and Innovation Lab, TCS . The following topics were covered: 1. Installation and introduction to ROS 2. Familiarisation of ROS concepts using a model -turtle sim 3. Familiarisation of Gazebo, Rviz - Exploring a differential drive robot model 4. Mapping and Navigation using Differential drive robot model 5. Custom URDF generation 6. Making it functional, Familiarization of moveit 7. A Mini - Project on ROS
